On March 3rd the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour invited Austrian-based foreign representations to a half-day workshop about the internet platform www.tourism-knowhow.at and its members.

Beyond the presentation of the internet platform, the personal exchange and contact with the member companies of tourism-knowhow.at was advanced.

The Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour invited tourism-knowhow members, potential members and international speakers to discuss the possibilities of the platform. |
The head of the department for tourism and historic objects, Mrs. Elisabeth Udolf-Strobl, opened the workshop with inspiring words about the export chances in tourism for Austrian enterprises. |
The CEO of the platform operator Krems Research, Mr. Hans Lichtenwagner, updated the audience about facts & figures of the first six months of tourism-knowhow.at operations. |
The key account manager of Krems Research, Ms. Monika Hofer, illustrated the features and functionality of tourism-knowhow.at. |
Starting with Mr. Amr Abdel-Ghaffar of the UNWTO, a series of speakers gave an insight into their work and the international demand for a tool like tourism-knowhow.at. |
Mr. Harald Jahn of the European Investmentbank reminded of the importance of the financing aspect in tourism developments. |
Mr. Christian Maier from the Austrian foreign trade office in Ankara informed about possibilites for investment and know how transfer in Turkey's tourism sector. |
