March 3 2008: Workshop Austrian tourism know-how

On March 3rd the Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour invited Austrian-based foreign representations to a half-day workshop about the internet platform www.tourism-knowhow.at and its members.




Beyond the presentation of the internet platform, the personal exchange and contact with the member companies of tourism-knowhow.at was advanced.

October 8 2007: Workshop Know How Export in Tourism



The Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour invited tourism-knowhow members, potential members and international speakers to discuss the possibilities of the platform.





The head of the department for tourism and historic objects, Mrs. Elisabeth Udolf-Strobl, opened the workshop with inspiring words about the export chances in tourism for Austrian enterprises.




The CEO of the platform operator Krems Research, Mr. Hans Lichtenwagner, updated the audience about facts & figures of the first six months of tourism-knowhow.at operations.




The key account manager of Krems Research, Ms. Monika Hofer, illustrated the features and functionality of tourism-knowhow.at.





Starting with Mr. Amr Abdel-Ghaffar of the UNWTO, a series of speakers gave an insight into their work and the international demand for a tool like tourism-knowhow.at.




Mr. Walther Czerny, an early tourism-knowhow.at member and CEO of ATC Austrian Tourism Consultants, lead through the workshop. Speakers: Mr. Harald Jahn (European Investmentbank), Mr. Reinhold Wessely (Consultant of the Russian Federal Agency for Management of Special Economic Zones), Mr. Christian Maier (Deputy Trade Commissioner in Ankara)




Mr. Harald Jahn of the European Investmentbank reminded of the importance of the financing aspect in tourism developments.




Mr. Christian Maier from the Austrian foreign trade office in Ankara informed about possibilites for investment and know how transfer in Turkey's tourism sector.




Mr. Reinhold Wessely, a consultant and expert on Russia, referred to the special economic tourism zones in Russia and the possibilities for Austrian education and service providers and consultants. He assured that tenders will be published via tourism-knowhow.at




Austrian tourism experts gave an insight into their international success stories. Speakers: Mrs. Heidrun Schulze (KulturKontakt Austria) talked about tourism education in South-East Europe, Mr. Gerald Huber (Schletterer Spa & Design) illustrated their latest spa project in Dubai, Mr. Manfred Kohl (CEO Kohl und Partner) highlighted their work in tourism development in Croatia.




In conclusion, an open discussion between the audience and the speakers brought up important points regarding the potential of tourism-knowhow.at.


May 05 2007: Austrian Tourism Day



The Federal Ministry of Economics and Labour invited to future-oriented tourism talks into the beautiful Werfenweng.

May 10 2007: Club Tourism Presentation



The Club Tourism invited Austrian tourism experts to an evening of presentations about new tourism platforms.




We had the opportunity to introduce the new tourism portal including tourism-knowhow.at, tourism-knowledgebase.at and studien.at.




The objectives and benefits of tourism-knowhow.at have been presented...
